Payments Processing Platform

Overview

Maya’s Payments Processing Platform provides access to Maya’s entire acquiring suites of features - products that are designed to work together, that would help enable you accept payments.

This solution supports e-commerce, card-not-present and card-present payments.

Recommended for Partners that have their own payment gateway.

**Note**: Some features would require **testing with Card Scheme for certification**. Note also that you are responsible for **PCI compliance** and you may be required to provide additional documentation and/or their attestation of compliance to Maya.

⚠️ Card Scheme Mandates

Card Schemes (MasterCard and VISA) roll out changes on the rules and requirements to merchants, acquirers and issuing banks in a quarterly duration or semi annual.

You will receive an email advisory in cases when you will be impacted by these changes. You may also refer to changelog for latest news or announcements.

A use case that will allow you as a merchant to charge the payment amount on your customer’s account.



Authorize and Capture

A use case that will allow you as a merchant to request a hold for a certain amount on your customer’s card to their card’s issuing bank, to temporarily lock the funds for that particular payment and then capture it later once fulfilled.

Use cases where you can use Authorize (Hold) & Capture:

  • Authorize the amount first but only capture the funds once you've shipped the physical goods.
  • Authorize the amount at the start of a free trial and then capture the funds at start of subscription.
  • Perform a manual fraud review before capturing the funds and fulfilling the order.


Recurring Transactions

A use case where merchants have secured approval or consents from their customer, to initiate payments on a regular basis or defined intervals(e.g. every 15th of the month).

Use cases where you use Recurring Payments:

  • Subscriptions, where regular payments are made to enjoy your services.
  • Collecting monthly amortization or loan payments.
